I’ve been crazy busy at work. No time to blog. Sorry.
In other news, life is so good, it is hard to believe there is bad in the world. The only thing that would make it better would be winning the lottery tomorrow night.
More award fun at re-run.
Large-Headed Reptile Productions is proud to present the Anti-Bloggies. Between now and February 2nd, nominate your favorite (or least favorite) blogs for this prestigious award. All the cool kids are doing it.
I have been itching scratching my left palm a lot lately. Someone once told me when your left palm itches, you would be receiving money. Sounds good to me, but thought I would look this up to verify.
The results:
» If your left hand itches, you will pay out money.
»
If your left hand itches, you will be disappointed.
»
If your left hand itches, expect company.
»
If your left palm itches, you will be called to visit someone you love.
»
Rub your itching left hand on unvarnished wood and you will procure money.
» Spit on your left hand when it itches, then rub your hand on wood, and you will secure money.
»
The person from whom you are not expecting money will present it to you, if your left hand itches.
» When your left hand itches: Rub it on wood/ And it will come good.
» You will always get work, if your left hand itches.
» You will obtain money soon, if your left hand is itching; the greater the itch,
the larger the amount.
» You will receive a call from a friend whom you have not seen for a long time,
if your left hand itches.
So, I’m confused, what is it? Money in or out? Company coming? I guess it is all an old wives’ tale. sigh. Anybody seen some unvarnished wood?
Discovered blog: Will Date For Food. I think I’ll keep an eye on this one.
Even more linky-love located over at Blah Blog. So much love for the large cranium!
I’ve been trying to access microsoft.com all morning. I’ve been getting error messages. All I want is a simple .exe file. I’m not asking much. Now I see that it is not just me: A Bad Day for Microsoft Sites. “The company’s U.S. websites appear to be the victim of a problem with DNS routing, the database that translates the names of URLs to the actual number addresses of the servers where the Web pages are stored.”
You can get to the site by using their IP address: 207.46.230.218, but unfortunately, I still can’t access the Downloads section from there.
More linky-love! Sabrina calls me a role model. I’d better straighten up.
Denise wrote some very nice words about the freelance work we did for her. I really enjoyed what I got to help her out with. Hope we can do more work together.
We are leaving BlogVoices comment code up in the hope that the service is reinstated. And what a cool service it is. I hope that they can work out a solution. Seeing the comments from my readers was just about the only reason I ever checked out this site. Kudos to chrish for creating this service. It rawks!
In the meantime, if you want to make some sassy comment, just mail it to me.
Last night I went to my first NBA game. My friend Dave got some tickets through work, so Eric, Dave, Matt (Dave’s friend), and I headed down to Reunion Arena to watch the Dallas Mavericks take on the Philadelphia 76ers (Gory sports details here). We had a good time, despite the fact that I was dead tired and had an awful headache. Some notes:
» The Mavericks fans aren’t nearly as rowdy as the Dallas Stars fans. No cheering along with the constant organ music. Only cheer for big plays.
» I’m amazed by the size of these players. Dallas player Shawn Bradley is 7’6″!!! Incredible.
» If you ever have the opportunity to watch a sporting event with me, just humor my attempts at sports knowledge. I have none. Last night I saw a guy travel, so I said “Traveling!” and then the ref called it. I was so impressed with myself, I turned to Dave and said, “Look at me! Calling the plays!” He responded, “Penalties, that was a penalty.” Oops.
Thanks for the links The Other Side and
