Amanda has allowed me some
September 29th, 2001
Amanda has allowed me some precious time today, and I was recounting the events of the past week to her, specifically details about Matt. “I want that,” Amanda says longingly. She wasn’t talking about a boy though, she was referring to the DeWalt 18V Heavy-Duty XRP™ Hammerdrill/Circular Saw/Reciprocating Saw/Floodlight Combo Kit pictured in the Home Depot circular in her hand.

This post should not be read as Amanda would rather have power tools than a man. In fact, she’d readily accept a good man who appreciates her knowledge of construction.
Aren’t all men just expensive, high maintenance power tools?
I thought the women were the expensive ones. At least, that’s what all the men say.
what is the deal with the name amanda and a love of power tools?
and personally, i think i’d rather have a good chop saw than most of the guys in my life any day. =)
although if i could find a man who could use a chop saw…now there’s something.
I’d take power tools ANY day. The possibilities are endless. At least you can make THEM do what you want.
oh, Erica, I’m not sure I wanted to know that…
yeah. what exactly is that supposed to mean, erica?
I just meant that you can’t make men do what you want but you can always make tools work for you.
I love a woman who knows how to use power tools. Most excellent!
I sure do hope Jon is talking about power tools as in the kind mentioned in Leia’s blog post and not power tools as being insinuated in last few comments. Eeek!
Just for the record, Reverend, I was not insinuating anything.
SUUURE, erica. Remember, I live with you. *smirk*
Okay Erica, so if you weren’t insinuating anything, does that mean you were just stating it outright?
