This photo is beautiful, tragic and inspiring to me all at once. In the midst of destruction, the American Flag still flies.
My feelings on that photo exactly! The people faced with this tragedy yesterday handled themselves admirably, all accounts I’ve heard said that panic was at a minimum and people have been volunteering to help all over the country. That picture, with the flag still standing as our anthem proclaims, is a powerful symbol – and one I hope we never forget.
