I’ve been fighting the fact
May 30th, 2002
I’ve been fighting the fact that my car is now ten years old and deteriorating. But after this morning, I can no longer deny the inevitable: my car is becoming trashy.
After hitting a large pothole in the road, my glove compartment popped open, spilling its contents into Julie’s lap. In opening, the tab that allowed it to stay closed snapped off, so now it won’t close. Tres chic.

if it makes you feel any better, my car is sixteen. six-bloody-teen.
it’s now old enough to drive itself.
two words: duct tape
Dave actually offered us the roll of heavy-duty black duct tape. But we didn’t want to veer too far into trashy territory.
Duct tape that baby! Silver duct tape, and you can keep the roll in the glovebox for when you have to peel off the old tape and open it. White-trash-o-rama.
Nice web site! I just stumbled upon it.
If it makes you feel any better, I’ve never owned a car that was newer than 20 years old. Actually, I think when I sold the 73 datsun and bought the 81 toyota, it was only 19 years old.
By the way, I agree with everyone else. Duct tape.
