A Retraction
May 1st, 2004
I would like to take back last night’s statement of “IN YOUR FACE, WEATHER!”
You see, today is the first-ever DFWblogs Picnic. Around Wednesday I learned that rain was forecast for Saturday. Slowly and slowly, though, the outlook improved. By about 10pm last night, the chance of rain was down to 20% by an hour before the picnic.
At this point, I delighted in saying, “IN YOUR FACE, WEATHER!”
I shouldn’t have.
The chance of rain for the four-hour picnic period is now 60% with 20 mph winds.
My humble apologies, weather.

See, this is why I’ve learned never to tempt fate. Because fate usually turns around and kicks my butt.
