An Anniversary, of Sorts
May 10th, 2004
Five years ago today, I started my first job of my adult life. Five years ago, I started moving into my first adult apartment. Five years ago, I began settling into Dallas.
I never thought I would stay in Dallas five years. I said aloud that I’d be gone by this point.
The permanence and roundness brought on by today is freaking me out.
But, well, maybe just a little while longer…

I for one am very glad you stayed! I can honestly say that knowing you has changed my world for the better. Thanks!
I count myself lucky you stayed too.
I said the same things 13 years ago. But sometimes we end up where we did not intend to be, but right where we should to be. I an very happy both of us stayed.
I know how you feel. I’ve lived here longer than any place else with the exception of when I was young and when I went to high school. I came here on a lark, met people who I love(d) and stayed. Funny how things turn out.
I personally wish you lived a little closer to Orlando, FL.
And I promise you, that is not the reporter that face plants off the stage. But as we sometimes say in news, never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Okay, I retract my last statement. Your huge nogginness is right. It is the reporter who eats it. Nice.
Told you so! (this is such a sister fight)
Happy “Anniversary”.
Happy (belated) anniversary! Stopping by to get the update on the D/FW Bloggers event next week. Just think, without you – we bloggers wouldn’t have squat!
