The iPod of Infinite Sadness: Part Three

November 4th, 2004

Parts One and Two

The iPod has been delivered to the house. I will confirm later tonight if it is accurate. Here’s hoping.

In addition to the sadness left by the iPod of Infinite Sadness, I do believe there has been a curse surrounding me. Or, The Curse of the iPod of Infinite Sadness [cue music: DUH DUH DUN].

Some of the fun that’s become of the curse:
» Using poor judgement in estimating the time left on a yellow light with a police car at the intersection, resulting in a $275 ticket for running a red light.
» A general funk to the past week (and not a good James Brown sort of funk).
» FedEx not updating the tracking on the iPod for FOUR WHOLE EXCRUCIATING days.
» That whole election thing.
» Re-aggravating my knee problem by merely standing up.
» Checking my voicemail this morning to hear a friend saying, “I know what’s happening on ‘Lost’,” and stating his theory before I could rip the earpiece from my ear.

Hopefully, The Curse of the iPod of Infinite Sadness will be broken tonight.

The general funk is due to the time change that took place last Sunday, it has always taken me about a week to recover from it. The Stock Market is up about 280 points in 2 days since Bush won, so not everyone shares your opinion about the election. Sorry to hear about your ticket, I guess this means I won’t have to update my Amazon Wish List this Christmas. :>(

I was an Apple tech for a while. They can be a model of customer service or complete air heads. It is always a coin flip.

    Yo Leia,
Yeah, sorry about the ticket. That happened once to me, though it was a seatbelt violation.
Hey thanks for the mention re: the “Theory”, by the way!
Also, re: election, – Time to regroup and look forward to 2008! Also, aren’t there midterm elections for Congress?
    : )

OK, that’s just freaky, because all of a sudden my left knee started acting up this week. Do you think it’s possible for the curse to spread?

I realize that you may be busy and all, but some of us would like to know if you got your freaking ipod already.
(Of course, the fact that you are not posting may be an indication to the affirmative.)

I entirely feel your pain with the iPod of infinite sadness. And the excruciating toture when you sneak like christmas morning to see where your package *ahem* lies, and find an empty nest of no news awaiting you. For four days…I think you need a hug.
