The iPod of Infinite Gladness

April 10th, 2005

I take back everything I have ever said that was negative about Apple and the Knox/Henderson Apple store.

About a month ago, my iPod forgot all of its songs and how to mount on a PC. I’m fairly certain this is related to my dropping it on the cement.

This afternoon, I finally took it in to the Genius Bar at the Knox/Henderson Apple store. After doing a few checks, they gave me a new one. GAVE me a NEW one. !!!!

Apparently, my iPod was still under warranty (which I don’t quite understand since I bought a refurbished unit and thought it had a very limited warranty, but I wasn’t going to argue the point).

I was so pleased, I bought a case.

Then I gleefully ran out of there fast so they wouldn’t take the new iPod back.

They can have it when they pry it out of my cold, dead hands. I don’t want to have to listen to Dallas radio EVER again.

I suspect that, with what happened with the mis-ship and all, whatever records they had on your purchase must have been a bit fraked up. But for whatever reason, congrats on your shiny NEW iPod.
