    Actually, interest only can be good if you remember that you’re only renting from yourself if you don’t pay more than the interest. Suddenly I sound like comment spam.

    Best of luck to you, Leia. My wife and I recently acquired our dream house at auction (check the linked ‘Blog for pictures). I know how terrifying, exciting, and generally tiring house hunting can be.

    Not necessarily, Bry. Texas has one of the lowest appreciation rates in the country, so you’d be hard pressed to sell your home in less than three years and break even without any equity.
