This is Broken

August 7th, 2006

I’ve had a streak of bad luck the last week or so. Things are breaking all around me.

  • two old hard drives died
  • refrigerator died

I have discovered the cure, though: money. Throw money at the broken item… *poof*… fixed!

  • *poof* new hard drive
  • *poof* new refrigerator

So, I’m hoping this strategy continues to work.

This afternoon, my mom learned she has spots on her lungs and liver which the doctors are calling “malignancies”. She had just finished all her chemo and radiation not more than a month ago. She’ll have a biopsy soon to determine if it is breast cancer that spread or something else.

Pull out debit card. Load cancer.org. Throw money at the problem. Here’s hoping for the *poof*.

While I’m at it, I should write a check to the Todd Sheldon Love Fund, because Todd needs to *poofing* wake up already.

I just sent a check to Todd’s fund. Hopefully I’ll help *poof* him awake too.

Thanks to your friends for their nice comments.
Did Carolyn use your old frig when she visited? Remember what happened when she cleaned our pool!
I didn’t realize I was gaining a new family member!
It looks a lot like our Kenmore Elite. It fits along side your cabinets and doesn’t stick out Right? The nightlight glows a blue
    color.
Also, like your new grill! Your dad discovered that the grill part that you put the food on fits exactly in our dishwasher. Lay it on the very top, even on top of the glasses etc. and it gets pretty clean. Don’t forget to spray it with PAM before you use it for grilling. MOM
