Random Thoughts from a Large Head

I spent the day either in bed or in front of the tv under the influence of various *-Quil products. What started as a sore throat yesterday morning became a fever yesterday afternoon, an earache this morning, and a snotty mess tonight.

Here’s hoping I can make it into work tomorrow. I’m out of good tv on the TiVo.

If you’ve paid a little attention around these parts, you might notice that I’ve taken up blogging again. I made a little promise to myself that I would write at least 7 words a day in 2007. That can’t be hard, right? This is a hard bike to start riding again, especially considering I’m such a boring gal these days: work, school, quality time with the now-fiancé, lather, rinse, repeat. Nonetheless, here’s your 7+ words for today.

One year ago, he wanted to make me a mix CD. Tonight, we celebrate our one-year anniversary. I love you, sweets.

I wish there were a way to eat the delicious cream center of an Oreo cookie after eating the two outer chocolate wafers. It’s my favorite part. I could kind of give or take the wafers, actually, but then I guess I’d just be eating lard.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has announced their 2007 schedule of SkyWarn Spotter Training, including Saturday classes in Advanced Spotter training. I was all set to go to the February 17 training until I remembered I have class on Saturday morning. Maybe I’ll skip one disaster class to take another.

A fiscally prudent person would save small amounts all year to pay their property taxes. I was not such a person. The last two months have been spent saving and cutting back to pay the property tax bill by the end of this month, and I did it. This has shown me that I could be saving a lot more money for the finer things in life, which are not giant cokes at Sonic.
