It was great seeing everyone again at the DFWblogs Cocktail Event last night. And, nice meeting you, Thomas. I downloaded Flash MX Player just for you this morning.
This is my fourth summer in Dallas, and this one has to be the most temperate of all. We’ve been having regular rainstorms and relatively cool temperatures (you know, under 100). This is compared to one summer where there was a straight month of temperatures over 100 and another summer where it didn’t rain for 80+ days. It’s downright pleasant in the 30 seconds I spend outdoors between leaving a building and getting in my car.

For those of you not in the know, I’ve spent the last five months somewhat temporarily residing at a friend’s place. All of my belongings went into storage, minus a computer, some clothes, and a few movies and books. In anticipation of the new residence, I have compiled a list:

» Having my stuff out of storage
» New appliances
» A new neighborhood to discover
» The “Beer-to-go” store around the corner
I am so terribly excited. My absolute favorite movie of last year, and right up there with my favorites of all time, Amelie, comes out on DVD today!
Congratulations to my dad, who is retiring today! Here’s to many relaxing days of online trading and working on the house!
